What is "The ITER Project"?

The ITER Project is an international joint mega science project to prove the scientific and technological feasibility of fusion energy as a large-scale source of energy by constructing the ITER fusion reactor under the Joint ITER Agreement signed by the ITER Parties (China,the EU, India, Japan, Korea, Russia and the US). Over half of the world's population and more than 80% of global GDP is represented by the current members of the ITER Project.
